Answers to the most common questions about Garden Pro Planner.

Getting started

Create your first garden, add one or more areas, and set each area’s sunlight, soil type, and pH. Then browse the 265+ plant library and add plants that match your conditions. Set your location so the planting calendar can tune itself to your local frost dates.

Laying out a bed

Open a garden area and choose Bed blueprint. Set the bed size, then tap or drag across the square-foot grid to plant it square by square — each square is scored for the plant you have selected, based on good neighbors, room to grow, and what will shade what. Plan it for me arranges the whole bed for you, and your plant counts (and expected yield) follow the layout automatically.

Setting your location and frost dates

Open Settings and set your location. The app uses your location’s frost dates to calculate when to start seeds indoors, transplant outdoors, and expect to harvest. You can update your location any time and the calendar recalculates automatically.

Syncing planting & harvest events to your calendar

Planting and harvest events can sync to your iOS and Google Calendar with alerts. Enable calendar sync and grant calendar access when prompted. You can also turn on watering reminders so nothing gets missed.

Finding the right plants

Use advanced filtering in the plant library to narrow by category, sunlight, soil, pH, watering needs, and pet safety, so you only see plants suited to a given area. You can also group the library by type, season, temperature, or difficulty, and limit it to plants hardy in your zone or commonly grown in your region.

Keeping a garden journal

Each garden keeps a journal of dated notes and photos, so you can record what you planted, what went wrong, and what you would do differently next season. You can also add your own photos to any garden or plant.

Tracking yield & savings

Each plant shows an expected yield based on how many you grow. Log what you harvest and the app adds up your estimated seasonal savings and keeps a running harvest log.

Restoring purchases

If you upgraded and don’t see your purchase on a new device, open Settings and choose Restore Purchases. Make sure you’re signed in with the same Apple ID used for the original purchase.

Cancelling your Premium membership (iPhone & iPad)

Premium is billed by Apple, so you cancel it from your Apple account rather than from inside the app.

  1. Open the Settings app on your iPhone or iPad.
  2. Tap your name at the top of the screen.
  3. Tap Subscriptions.
  4. Tap Garden Pro Planner.
  5. Tap Cancel Subscription — or Cancel Free Trial if you’re still in a trial — and confirm.

If there’s no Cancel Subscription button, the membership is already cancelled and won’t renew. You can reach the same screen from any browser at apps.apple.com/account/subscriptions.

Cancel at least 24 hours before the renewal date, or Apple will bill you for the next period. You keep Premium until the end of the period you’ve already paid for. Deleting the app doesn’t cancel the membership, and neither does deleting your account. Refunds are issued by Apple rather than by us — request one at reportaproblem.apple.com.

Managing your data

Your gardens and logs are stored on your device and, if enabled, synced to your private account. You can delete individual gardens, plans, or your data from within the app at any time. See the privacy policy for details.

Deleting your account

You can permanently delete your account and all of its data from Settings → Delete account inside the app. See Delete your account for the full steps, what is removed, and how to request deletion by email if you have already uninstalled the app.
