Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 25, 2026

Garden Pro Planner (“the app”) is built and operated by Kalden Ficklin. This policy explains what information the app handles and how it is used. By using the app, you agree to the practices described here.

Information stored on your device

The gardens, plans, plant selections, harvest logs, location and frost-date settings, reminders, and preferences you create are stored on your device and, if you enable sync, in your private account so your data is available across your devices. This information is used only to provide the features of the app. We do not sell your personal information.

Photos you upload

If you add a photo of one of your gardens or plants, the app asks for access to your camera or photo library and uploads that photo to cloud storage in your private account, where it is used to illustrate that garden or plant for you across your devices. Access to your camera and photo library is only ever used for photos you choose to add — the app does not scan, browse, or upload anything else from your device.

Photos you upload may also be used by Garden Pro Planner to promote the app — for example in App Store screenshots, on this website, in social posts, or in advertising — without asking you again and without payment to you. This permission is set out in full in the Terms of Service, which you accept by using the app. We will not attach your name or email to a photo used this way without asking you first.

Please don't upload photos of other people, or photos you didn't take yourself, unless you have their permission. You can remove a photo at any time from within the app, which deletes it from your account; if you would prefer we also stop using a photo in material we have already published, email support@thegardenplanner.app and we will honour that request going forward.

Third-party services

The app uses trusted third-party services to operate, sync data, and understand and improve reliability. These may collect limited technical information as described in their own privacy policies:

This website

thegardenplanner.app uses Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages lead people to the App Store. It records pages viewed, approximate location by country or region, device and browser type, and — if you arrived from an ad or link with campaign tags in the address — which campaign sent you. It does not collect your name, email, or any other information that identifies you personally, and the site has no sign-in or contact forms. You can opt out across all sites with Google's browser add-on.

Log & diagnostic data

If the app encounters an error, diagnostic information may be collected through the services above. This can include device type, operating system version, app configuration at the time, and the date and time of the event. It is used to diagnose problems and improve the app.

Purchases

Any purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. We do not receive or store your payment card details.

Data security

We use commercially reasonable measures to protect your information. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children’s privacy

The app is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Your choices

You can delete your gardens and data at any time from within the app. Removing the app from your device removes the data stored locally on it.

To permanently delete your account and everything stored with it, see Delete your account, which explains exactly what is removed, what is kept, and how to request deletion by email.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with a new “last updated” date.
